However, the traditional hierarchy form of leadership within the school structure is ever changing to meet the demands of our society and learners. Machiavelli I would rather be in hell and converse with great minds than live in paradise with that dull rabble. In his lifes writings, Niccolo Machiavelli, sought out the strength of the human character, and wrote according to his own rules; trying to better the political philosophy of his time. Machiavelli, a fiercely independent Renaissance man, advocated the prosperity of Italian politics, and wanted Italy to rise above the rest of the world. Machiavellis writings dealt with many issues that had not been attacked in his time, and utilized his distinct brand of political philosophy to try and change the politics and government that shaped his era. The next years of Machiavellis life included many dramatic experiences that altered the way that he viewed government. The Medici family was overthrown, and the power of the government changed hands when the French, lead by Louis XII invaded Italy (The Prince p. viii). Through decisions made by the Church and Pope Julius II, the Medici family came back to restore order and take up where they left off. It was through these actions that Machiavelli was viewed as unfit for any type of political position and was forced into exile. The Prince, written in 1513, was started during this time of expulsion in order to once again become in the good graces of the Medici family. Unfortunately, that wouldnt happen and he wouldnt return to Florence until 1526, only to die a year later in 1527. Throughout Machiavellis career, he was exposed to a variety of politics; politics of the church, of the Medici family, and politics to stay alive. He had to leave Florence and retire to his country home in San Casciano in order to save his life for his conspiring with the Boscoli-Capponi anti Medicean plot, and recognizing that military (Ruffo-Fiore, Silvia p.v). Financial statements and considered very important-Free Samples
Question: How financial statements considered very important? Answer: Introducation: The statement of accounting concept 1 deals with the definition of the reporting entities. These statements tell that which entity is said to be a reporting entity and which entity is excluded from being called so. In simple terms, the entities that need to make financial statements in order to provide the users of such statement true and fair position about the financial position and stability such entities are known as reporting entities. They are entitled to prepare their financial statement in accordance with the accounting standards and the statements of accounting concepts. If they fail to follow such standards then they may not give genuine information to the stakeholders. The reports prepared by the entities are widely used by the stakeholders to make a decision regarding their investments (Accounting for Small Business Owners, 2017). Statement of Accounting Concept 1 There are certain entities that require preparing financial reports as prescribed by certain rules and regulations. However, some of them are even excluded. According to this concept all entities irrespective of its size, nature of operation, legal form whether profit oriented or not belonging to private or public sector should prepare financial reports if there exists any users who are dependent on these financial reports to take their decisions (Anon, 2017). There may exist an individual entity or a group of entities operating together. Such group of entities may have a controlling authority on each other. Both theses type of entities will be covered under the definition of reporting entities. Any group which is covered under the term of economic entity will be regarded as a reporting entity even if the user of such financial reports does not exist. One of the entities that is included in the group of entities will have a control over the other entities to achieve the objective that is set up by the controlling authority. The control here signifies any kind of financial dependence directly or indirectly, appointment or dismissals of managers or the governing body of the entity, and the ultimate power in order to direct the activities of the entity (Breitner and Anthony, 2013). In case of an individual, if he is able to deploy resources then but its objective is to achieve personal gains and does not satisfies the condition of falling under the definition of economic entity then it does not have to prepare financial reports (Dyckman, Magee and Pfeiffer, 2014). As far we have come to know that if an entity has users of the financial reports who uses them in order to take decisions for their resource allocation then it is compulsory to prepare such financial reports. It is important for the company to identify the users of these reports before the preparation (Easton, 2015). The factors that are used to identify the users are indicative only and can be identified on the basis of three main categories- the separation existing between the ownership and the management, the economic and political influence and certain financial characteristics (Edmonds et al., 2016). Separation between management and ownership- The larger the space between the management and the ownership of the company there are more chances that there exist users of the financial reports for their decision making (Harrison, Horngren and Thomas, n.d.). Economic and political influence- If the entity holds an important position in regards to politics and economic conditions then there are higher chances of the existence of the users of the financial statements to allocate their resource in the best place. Financial characteristics Financial characteristics includes the size of operation, the value of assets held, indebtedness of the company as well as the number of workers that are employed (Ittelson, 2009). Such entities that has these characteristics present are expected to have users that may be dependent on the financial statements in order to invest and allocate their resources efficiently. The main purpose for the preparation of such financial reports is to provide correct information about the financial stability and position of an entity so that the users can make a wise decision of allocating their resource in the best possible place (Kimmel, Weygandt and Kieso, n.d.). However, if ther are any kind of information which is considered materialistic but has been concealed then it may lead these users to take a wrong decision. Therefore, the financial reports should be prepared with extra care and due diligence so that all material facts are disclosed properly and no facts are concealed. The entity should be capable enough to use the resource in the most efficient way so that the users can determine about the financial condition of the entity in the forthcoming years. If the resources are utilised in an optimum manner then it will help the stakeholders to feel safe about their investment and also help them generate higher returns (Loughran, 2011). The management of the company should be knowledgeable enough to allocate the resources in the best place to get the best results (Piper, 2015). It is important for every stakeholder to know about the past and current trends of an entity before taking its decisions (Pratt, 2014). It enables to compare the present performance with the past and ascertain that what is the extent of improvement that the company has shown. The financial statements provide various information such as the asset and liabilities along with the expenses and gains (Spiceland, Thomas and Herrmann, 2011). The assets of the company reflect the financial position and stability to pay off the liabilities. It gives a general idea of the going concern of the company by determining the key financial ratios with the help of the financial statements. The income and expenses reveals the continuous flow of resources and whether the expenses that were incurred were actually required or wasteful. If the entity is found to make wasteful expenditures then the stakeholders may not take interest in those companies as these are the signs of poor management (Warren, Reeve and Duchac, n.d.). The financial statements should be prepared with full knowledge and truthfulness because it not only reflects the financial performance of the company but also the non- financial aspects are covered therein. The stakeholders in order to check the companys awareness towards the society check the social responsibility carried out (Weil, 2014). An entity is not considered efficient only when it has a good profitability but it should also fulfil its responsibility towards the society. Therefore, proper disclosures of the corporate social responsibility that the entity has performed should be disclosed in the financial reports. The stakeholders trust their hard earned money with the company and so it is their right to get correct information and give them back good returns. Therefore, the entity should not include any such wrong fact in the financial statements which would influence the decision of the stakeholders and mislead them. All the information provided should be in accordance with the various accounting concepts and standards. The non compliance of the accounting standards leads to violation of law and is punishable (Weygandt, Kimmel and Kieso, n.d.). If the company fails to comply with these rules and regulations or if there is any defect found in the financial statements then the there will be a huge loss of reputation in the market and it will become very difficult for them to survive and have a sufficient market share. Therefore, a reporting entity must provide all relevant information in the financial statements which will enable the users to take decisions wisely (Williams et al., 2015). Conclusion The accounting concept 1 defines the entities that falls under the category of reporting entity, the entities which fall in such category has been properly stated above. These entities require to make financial statements on compliance with certain rules and regulations because these reports are important and highly influence the decisions of various stakeholders. It is important for them to have complete information prior to the decision making. References Accounting for Small Business Owners. (2017). 1st ed. Rockridge Pr. Anon, (2017). 1st ed. Section 2. 1 gives the estimated sales figures and a brief explanation on the changes in these figures over the planning period. * Section 2. 2 delves into the details of how this sales estimate has been arrived at, calculations involved and the methods and assumptions used in the process. * Overall, this section is useful is providing an estimate of how much the restaurant can make in sales, given its internal specifics and external environment. * 2. 1 Sales Forecast * * The yearly sales forecast for Papa Geoââ¬â¢s restaurant is given below. In $ | Year 1 | Year 2 | Year 3 | Year 4 | Year 5 | Sales | 933,504. 00 | 1,555,840. 00 | 1,616,517. 76 | 1,679,561. 95 | 1,745,064. 87 | * My methods and assumptions for arriving at the sales figures in the table are detailed in section 2. 2 The sales figure estimated per my calculations is taken as the sale figure for Year 2. This is because the sales figure arrived at from the calculations cannot be assumed to be sales for Year 1 as the restaurant might not be able to realize its full potential and attract the estimated number of customers from day one itself. Also, teething problems with marketing, operations etc might not lead to optimum sales. Therefore, we will project only 60% of this figure as first year sales and use the estimated figure as the sales figure for Year 2. Over the planning period, starting from Year 2 onwards, sales are expected to grow at a rate of 3. 9% every year, in line with industry estimates of the average growth of the restaurant industry in the US (Source: Mintel International, cited in section 6. 0). * * 2. 2 Methods and Assumptions * According to the brief given on Papa Geoââ¬â¢s restaurant, there are about 10,000 families living within 15 minutes of the restaurant. Of these, between 3% and 5% are rich households (Phoenix marketing international, Wikipedia) and it is assumed that another 15% comprise of high income and upper middle class households. That leaves about 80% of the 10000 families in the area, that are the target market for the restaurant. * * According to a research paper (in restaurant. org), American families eat out about 4 times a week. However, considering that our target market comprises of mostly middle and lower income families, Iââ¬â¢ve assumed that they eat out only about 2 times a week on an average. This means that, about 16000 families [(80%*10,000)*2] eat out in a week in that area in Ohio, Florida. * * In terms of competition, although it is mentioned that McDonalds, Taco Bell and Wendyââ¬â¢s operate in the area, we assume there are other small places that people might visit to eat out. Also, people might venture out beyond their areas to eat out. Keeping these in mind, weââ¬â¢ve assumed that these four places (Papa Geoââ¬â¢s, McDonaldââ¬â¢s, Taco Bell and Wendyââ¬â¢s) will be able to capture only about 85% of these families. (16000*85%=13600/week). Of these four places, since the others are fast food and fast food restaurants generally command a larger footfall than other format restaurants we assume the following about their share in the pie of families: Taco Bell: 30%, McDonaldââ¬â¢s: 30%, Wendyââ¬â¢s: 30% and Papa Geoââ¬â¢s: 10% * * i. e, Papa Geoââ¬â¢s can expect to capture 1360 (10%*13600) families per week. Since this is a family dining place, we make another assumption about the composition of the family. We assume that out of a family of 4, two are kids and two adults. Which means that about 2720 (1360*2) kids and 2720 adults (1360*2) will eat from Papa Geoââ¬â¢s per week. * * Given that a meal (including drinks) cost about $7, we make the following assumptions: * Adults visiting the restaurant will have meals (@ $7), on an average. * Kids visiting the restaurants with their families will make a bill of about $4 per head. Given this, we now estimate the weekly sales for adults and kids. Therefore, d * Sales from Adults per week: 2720*7 = 19040 * Sales from Kids per week: 2720*4 = 10880 * * Now, the total sales (both adults and kids, as part of families) per week can be estimated at: 19040+10880 = $29920 * Therefore, average sales per year = 1,555,840 * The sales figure estimated by these calculations is taken as the sale figure for Year 2. This is because the sales figure arrived a t from the calculations cannot be assumed to be sales for Year 1 as the restaurant might not be able to realize its full potential and attract the estimated number of customers from day one itself. Also, teething problems with marketing, operations etc might not lead to optimum sales. Therefore, we will project only 60% of this figure as first year sales, and use the estimated figure as the sales figure for Year 2. Over the planning period, starting from Year 2 onwards, sales are expected to grow at a rate of 3. 9% every year, in line with industry estimates of the average growth of the restaurant industry in the US (Source: Mintel International, cited in section 6. 0). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * 3. Sample Essay About Choosing a College
Sample Essay About Choosing a CollegeWhen I was in college, the practice of writing a sample essay about choosing a college went a little something like this: Get a professor to write one. Ask another student to help you write one for another program. That's it! No time to research or write it. Well, guess what?Once your essay is done, you need to submit it to a school counselor who will then review it. If they find that your essay meets their criteria, they'll give you your choice of college. If they find that your essay doesn't meet their criteria, they'll send you a letter asking for more information, and if you still want to attend that college, then you may not have to do an extra writing assignment. The second scenario is what I mean by the second scenario being our actual experience. Instead of writing a standardized essay for college admissions, colleges and universities now require students to write an essay to do two things. First, it's a refresher course for high school and gives them a list of all the top schools. Second, it tests your critical thinking ability by allowing you to select the college you want to attend, instead of providing a default answer.Your essay must be able to stand on its own as well as stand as a preview of your critical thinking abilities. To find out what your sample essay should be like, start with an idea of how many pages it will be, and if you already know what you want, simply read it through and make any modifications you want.Next, choose a topic for your essay, and outline the topics in outline format. Review your outline, edit it and rewrite it if necessary, and then choose a topic and begin writing. Finally, submit your essay to the schools you want to attend, and request feedback from your teachers and academic advisers. Your school should not only give you feedback on your essay, but it should also provide guidance on what kind of essay to prepare in the future.During the admissions process, most applicants forget that the admissions committee wants to hear from more than just their friends and their teachers. We are in a place where more than ever, we need more students, and that means more students applying to the best college for them. Please don't forget this fact when preparing your essay.

Product process matrix life cycle stages Process Flow Safaricom products are sold through a process whereby the major retailers continuously receive the products through the wholesalers also referred to as the distributors. Ideally, Safaricom ought to get substantive competition than the prevailing one in order to facilitate innovations and better services to the clients. Intense Issues Safaricom Limited has not only forced customers to take its services, but also partially monopolized the services being offered. The company has invested and innovated ways to distract the initial systems of communication and money transfer services through preventing other companies from accessing their network. In fact, it has prevented the introduction of the thin SIM cards which would allow the cardholders to receive services from two of 3 distinct companies using a single phone. Moral Framework In order to curb the varying issues perceived from Safaricom limited, community involvement in decisions affecting them must be addressed. The controversy apparent in their arguments on the appropriateness of the specified prices and manipulation of prices should be done through prior public consultatio n. Choice for the Organization The realistic recommendation for the company. It should prepare strategies to access and receive recommendation and assessments from the customers at all times. This aspect can allow the company to collect important information. Four strong facts or data supporting arguments: The prominence of a marketing strategy and its business repercussions are inherent to each other. Safaricom will retain its loyal customers willingly or from pressure retrieved from the high cost off-net services from the main provider. The exploitation of customers due to the strength of a company in the market faces legal regulation as initiated by the Communication Authority of Kenya (Maina 2010). Safaricom will not loosen the hardness of penetrating the communication industry. Marketing of product to attain some business advantages requires critical evaluation and care since it determines the number of customers loyal and willing to product the brand goods or services (S lack et al. 2012). Researchers and protagonist have paid attention to this aspect in an ideally proficient and reliable. Even though this aspect has developed concise directions for marketers, they manipulate how the market is formed and developed through asserting certain ethical considerations.
